Amnesty International Marche, nell’ambito della programmazione nazionale del progetto “Arte e diritti umani”, promuove dal 2012 il Concorso “A Corto di Diritti”, da questa edizione divenuto la sezione internazionale del Corto Dorico Film Festival.
La sezione presenterà al pubblico 7 cortometraggi, tra i 231 arrivati da tutto il mondo, selezionati da un Comitato composto da 32 attivisti e simpatizzanti di Amnesty International per la prima volta provenienti anche da fuori regione.
L’elevato livello artistico delle opere presentate, immergerà il pubblico in un percorso attraverso le violazioni dei diritti umani legate all’egoismo della nostra società verso chi ha avuto la sfortuna di nascere altrove e a retaggi culturali e politici che giustificano discriminazioni verso chi appartiene a minoranze per genere, scelte religiose o stile di vita e all’uso ancora intenso di pene inumane e degradanti.
Il Premio sarà assegnato al termine della serata, dalla Giuria di Qualità, costituita da Massimo Veneziani (giornalista Rai e documentarista), Laura Petruccioli (ref. Progetto Arte e Diritti Umani di AI Italia) e da un delegato del Comitato, all’opera la cui sensibilità artistica affronterà con maggior efficacia e passione le tematiche dei diritti dell’uomo e le campagne della organizzazione umanitaria.
Al fianco di questa nasce quest’anno la Giuria Giovani costituita da studenti delle scuole superiori della città coordinati dai loro insegnanti, che dopo un percorso formativo sulla Cinematografia e sui Diritti umani assegnerà il Premio IIK Ancona – Giuria Giovani al film con maggiore impatto sulle generazioni di domani.

In un piccolo supermercato di una cittadina operaia, un uomo afro americano sorride a un ragazzino
bianco di dieci anni mentre sono in fila alle casse. Questo innocuo episodio scatenerà una spietata guerra tra due gang con riper cussioni sconvolgenti.
Guy Nattiv dopo aver studiato giornalismo all’Università di Palermo si trasferisce in Spagna, studia regia cinematografica presso la Scuola di Cinema “Ciudad de la Luz”, con Pablo Berger. Completa i suoi studi con un master in Cinema nella prestigiosa London Film School con Mike Leigh. Ha lavorato in diversi cortometraggi e documentari in formato digitale e in 16mm e 35mm. Sol de agosto è il suo corto di laurea, il settimo come sceneggiatore e regista, prima di trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti, ha diretto diversi film in Israele, tra cui “Strangers”, in concorso al Sundance e al TribecaFilm Festival, tratto dal corto che aveva vinto in precedenza il Sundance. Selezionato per gli Academy Awards, ha vinto oltre 20 festivalin tutto il mondo. Il suo secondo film, “The Flood”, si è aggiudicato un premio speciale al Festival del Cinema di Berlino. Ha diretto il corto, “Skin”, da cui è stato ricavato l’omonimo film. “Skin” ha vinto diversi premi tra cui l’Oscar come miglior cortometraggio ai Premi
Oscar 2019.

Sasha Rainbow ha lavorato tra diverse discipline artistiche, tra cui il cinema, l’arte, la fotografia e i costumi. Le sue opere sono state esposte in tutto il mondo come parte del progetto ASVOFF. Negli ultimi due anni Sasha si è concentrata su film narrativi con temi sociali e questo l’ha portata a viaggiare in tutto il mondo, visitando luoghi quali il Ghana, l’India, la Romania e la Tailandia. Nella “Casa del Migrante” di Huehutoca, un sobborgo di Città del Messico, i rifugiati trovano una dimora sicura. Almeno per due giorni. Poi devono proseguire il loro viaggio verso gli Stati Uniti sulle carrozze di un treno merci che tutti chiamano soltanto “La Bestia”.
Manuel Inacker nato a Siegen, in Germania nel 1989, Manuel Inacker è un regista tedesco-croato. Laureato in scienze politiche, sociologia e filosofia all’Università di Erfurt e alla Bosphorus University di Istanbul, ha vissuto in diversi paesi tra cui la Cina, l’Australia e la Turchia e al momento risiede a Berlino. Dal 2014 studia regia di lungometraggi e documentari presso la Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. I film di Manuel sono stati presentati in numerosi festival come il Berlin Int. Filipe Melo ha studiato al Berklee College of Music di Boston e alla Hot Clube School of Jazz di Lisbona. Oltre che musicista è anche compositore, pianista, arrangiatore e direttore musicale. Insegna presso la Escola Superior de Música di Lisboa. Ha diretto diversi corti: “I’ll See You in My Dreams”, vincitore del Fantasporto, Méliès d’Or e di altri premi, e “Um Mundo Catita”. Da una registrazione rumorosa, Willis Marable, assistente della guardia carceraria, testimonia in tempo reale l’esecuzione programmata.
Jeroen Van der Stock (°1979) è un regista belga. Ha conseguito un Master in Arti Audiovisive presso la Luca School of Arts di Bruxelles. Nelle sue opere spesso esplora i temi del rifiuto e dell’abbandono. Le sue creazioni video sono state presentate in diversi Festival del Cinema, tra cui Rotterdam, Oberhausen,CPH:DOX, Jeonju and RIDM. Il cortometraggio ‘Night Horse’ è stato premiato a Image Forum Festival e nominato per il Found Footage Award a IFFR 2018.
